Germany coach Pedulla: "It was the worst match of this team I have ever seen since I am the coach"

Onuma Sittirak scored a game-high 22 points in Thailand's 3-0 win against Germany

Sao Paulo, Brazil, July 10, 2015 – With an impressive performance, Thailand crushed Germany 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-16) at Ibirapuera Gymnasiun, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Thailand coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai: “The players and the staff did a great job today. It was great teamwork. We are not a tall team, so we played with a lot of speed and it worked. I hope we can play even better in the next match against Brazil."

Thailand captain Apinyapong Wilavan: “It is our first time in Brazil and we feel really good here. The Brazilian fans supported us and that boosted our confidence. We knew Germany would be a tough team to beat, so we tried to play as fast as we could to avoid their block and we could score the points this way. All of us played well today."

Germany coach Luciano Pedulla: “It was the worst match of this team I have ever seen since I am the coach. We played really badly. I did not like anything at all in our game. I did not understand why that happened. Our serve was not good and they could play in a very high speed. We were not focused enough."

Germany captain Margareta Kozuch: “It was a bad game for us. I am pretty sure we can play a lot better than we did. We did not show anything of what we were doing before. Thailand played really well,
but we did not play well. We were a little messy tactically. We are ashamed but we need to look forward to play better tomorrow”.
