We have to give all we have in the Final Four, says Balkestein-Grothues

 

Formosa, Argentina, July 12, 2015 – Netherlands celebrated its third victory in Pool L in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix after they defeated Canada 3-0 on Sunday.

Netherlands coach Giovanni Guidetti: “I want to congratulate my players. They gave their best all the time despite being already qualified. I also want to congratulate Canada, they have improved a lot in the competition. Finally, I want to thank all the people in Argentina, they made us feel really welcome in Formosa.”

Netherlands captain Maret Balkestein-Grothues: “We did a great job in block and defence. That was the key. We achieved our objective and now we have to give all we have in the Final Four.”

Canada coach Arnd Ludwig: “We lost focus after the incident in the floor. I told my team to take this match to learn from a very good team like the Netherlands.”

Canada captain Brittany Page: “We had a few technical goals that we couldn’t complete. After the interruption, we couldn’t come back to the match and made things easy for the Netherlands. They are very strong.”
