Coach Marasciulo sees Peru as young, but growing team

Trujillo, Peru, July 5, 2015 – Peru won in straight sets against Kazakhstan by 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-18) and claimed the second place in Pool P of Group 3 in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2015.  Here are the statements from the coaches and the captains of the two teams.

Mirtha Uribe, captain of Peru:  “We are happy for the win, we played hard and we knew the key was the serve because the team of Kazakhstan plays fast.  We are thinking about Australia now.”

Oleksandr Gutor, coach of Kazakhstan:  “Peru played well.  They are a group that grows with every match and I wish them the best in the Final Four.”

Mauro Marasciulo, coach of Peru:  “The team had calmness and control of play.  It is a young team that is getting more and more experience and that is what we are looking for in order to develop a meaningful future.”

Korina Ishimtseva, captain of Kazakhstan:  “We made a lot of errors.  We feel sad leaving like this, but we congratulate the team of Peru for their victory.  They played really well.”
