The day's second game in Bangkok saw the hosts take on Brazil and the early exchanges were even at 10-10 as both sides were matching each other in scoring. The third set was a more even affair in the early stages as both teams exchanged points until Brazil took control through Barreto who was having a strong game for the South American side, leading the team in points. At 14-8, Thailand were in need of some inspiration to extend the game but Brazil were showing no mercy and raced to a 3-0 victory with a 25-15 third set win.
