Juciely joy as Brazil rout Russians

Juciely was the match top scorer for Brazil

Catania, July 16, 2015 – Brazil eased past Russia 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-17) in their FIVB World Grand Prix match on Thursday.

Juciely and Natalia Pereira were dominant for the Brazilians, who grounded far more spikes than their opponents. With the Russian failing to notch hardly any points, they took the first set 25-18.

Natalia Malykh and Yana Shcherban laboured hard for the Russians, but it was all too easy in set two, as well, as the Brazilian attack hit great spikes and a couple of aces to win it 25-14. And the third set was a formality, with Russia again not doing enough on the block to succeed. Brazil took the set 25-17, and the match 3-0.

Malykh was the match’s top scorer with 19 points. Juciely got 17 for Brazil. Read the live text commentary from this match here
