Italy's captain Valentina Arrighetti is happy after two victories in Pool C
Ankara, Turkey, July 5, 2015 - Italy finished its 2015 FIVB World Grand Prix Pool C tournament with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-17) victory against home team Turkey. These are the statements from after this match:
Italy’s coach Marco Bonitta: "We knew that playing against USA, Belgium and Turkey would be difficult for us. We knew that we need to improve all the time. I am satisfied because two victories is a very very good result for us."
Italy’s captain Valentina Arrighetti: "I am very happy because of our improvement during the week. Two wins are very important to reach the finals, which is our goal. I am satisfied with the results that we got this week."
Turkey’s coach Ferhat Akbas: "We felt tiredness because of the European Games. We fought well, but we made mistakes in important points because of mental and physical exhaustion. We will use a larger roster next week and we will be better."
Turkey’s captain Guldeniz Onal: "We played with a young team in Pool C and we were not able to gain the points that we wanted. But I believe we will be better in the second and the third weeks."
