Formosa, Argentina, July 10, 2015 – Netherlands opened the competition in Pool L of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix with a straight sets win over Poland at the Stadium Sincuentario on Friday.

Netherlands coach Giovanni Guidetti: “Poland came with their second team, the difference was clear. I saw some good things (in my team) because we always try to be better in each match. We do not really mind much about our opponents and statistics, but we try to make our own game better each time.”

Netherlands captain Maret Balkestein-Grothues: “I think we did a pretty good job, we put a lot of pressure in the serve and made it difficult for the reception. We have to keep our level high.”

Poland coach Jacek Nawrocki: “The match showed differences between both teams. We came here with our second squad to learn how to be better and to fight. Today we did not show what we are here for.”

Poland captain Daria Paszek: “We played bad, mostly in reception. When we play against powerful teams, we need to play well in reception, set and spike, and we did not do that.”
