Marta Drpa lands her team on top of the pool I

 

Stuttgart, Germany, July 17, 2015 - Serbia remain unstoppable, overplaying Dominican Republic 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-16) in their second match in Stuttgart. Without losing a single set, Serbs jump to the top of the pool I at the 2015 FIVB Volleyball world Grand Prix.

Serbia opened the match with a different squad, but their level did not drop and the team took on the early lead at 4-1. Dominican Republic called a time out at 4-10, but the team cotninued to make the same mistakes and Serbs won the first part 25-13.

Serbs began the 2nd set with a 5-2 but Dominicans find the way to fight back and keep the score tight at 16 -17. The match got more intense, but Serbia put an end to the rival's attempt to take the lead. Marta Drpa made the last point and her team won the 2nd set 25-21. 

A storming play by Serbia opened the 3rd set 4-0, but the team was stopped by Dominican Republic euqalizing at 7-7. Serbia took back the dominance and the ace serve by Zivkovic made it 15-10. The team kept the high lead at 21-15 and a great defence play by Marta Drpa helped to wrap up the match at 25-16.
