Monterrey, Mexico, June 28, 2015 - Colombia finished their first weekend in the World Grand Prix with a straight-sets 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-20) win against Kenya in Pool O.

Colombia coach Eduardo Guillaume: “I really like the World Grand Prix, it
is a wonderful experience for all players and it gives teams the opportunity to
grow.  I am satisfied with Colombia’s
debut at the World Grand Prix. We were worried about Kenya’s physical
strength and our game plan was to be more tactical than usual, fortunately
things turned out well for us”.

Colombia captain
Maria Alejandra Marin:
"We were determined to win, our
goal is to be in Australia for the Final Four. The World Grand Prix has just
begun and we must work harder for the next stage; our first match will be
against Peru and we expect a challenge”.

Kenya coach
David Lungaho:
“It was a bad performance by us and Colombia
played good quality volleyball. We struggled a lot because they took us out of
our game, proof of it is that we had to make substitutions. Colombia caught us by
surprise, our mistakes made a whole difference. I still believe in my team and
we must to better next weekend in Algeria”.

Kenya captain Brackcides
Khadambi:
"It was not our day today, we performed much better yesterday.
Hopefully we will have time to correct our mistakes and do much better for what
comes ahead”.
