A victory tastes better if you play great - Guidetti

 

Lublin, Poland, August 2, 2015 – Listen what the coaches and players said after Sunday’s final match of the World Grand Prix Group 2 Finals in Lublin, Poland.

The Netherland coach Giovanni Guidetti congratulated his team for the great team spirit and the high level of their game. For Guidetti it was not only the victory that made him happy, but their performance under big pressure. 

  

The Netherland captain Maret Balkestein-Grothues was happy of her team's ability to overcome difficulties in the beginning of the first set and continue to play on a high level, especially in attack. 



Dutch setter Laura Dijkema was satisfied with their team performance after a slow beginning. She highlights their offense as the mean weapon against Poland. 



The Netherlands opposite Manon Flier-Nummerdor says the Dutch played much better in the final, giving Poland no chance to fight back. She also enjoyed the atmosphere in Lublin, praising the local fans for their great support. 



Poland captain Joanna Wolosz congratulated the Netherlands for their win and admitted that the opponents deserved their victory. The teamwork of the Dutch was the key to win over Poland, but the hosting team will try to learn from their mistakes and improve in the future. 



Poland libero Agata Durajczyk says that her team played unlike them in the final against the Netherlands. The player complemented the opponent on their play in attack, block and service and admitted it was difficult to respond to their level.
