China coach Lang Ping - "Dominicans presented challenges for us"

China celebrate win over Dominican Republic

Saitama, Japan, July 10, 2015 - China's head coach Lang Ping was happy with her sides 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-19) victory over the Dominican Republic though conceded that they could have played better and will likely be without the services of Yang tomorrow after a kneeinjury ended her game prematurely.

China coach Lang Ping - "We could have played better. They gave us some challenges but we responded. The gym was hot today, so we had to get used to serving in it. Hopefully it will be cooler tomorrow. I think it will be quite hard for Yang to play tomorrow based on her reaction to the injury. We will have to find out her condition."

Dominican coach Cristian Cruz "Our target today was to do our best to compete. They have a really strong team.We have to work on our communication problem. Garcia is only 18, She will grow through these matches. We played better than the last time we played them. Our task is to train the young players for the future."

China captain Hui Ruoqi - "They played better than the first time we played them. They had good outside attacks which made us work hard to defend. We play Italy tomorrow which will be a tougher match."

Dominican Republic captain Carolina Rondon - "China is really strong. We expect a tough match from them every time. There team is really in good condition. Communication was our problem today. We need to get in synch on the floor."
