I'm satisfied with my side, says Turkey's Akbas

Turkey's campaign ended well

Stuttgart, Germany, July 17, 2015 – Turkey coach Ferhat Akbas said his side were happy to end their FIVB Grand Prix campaign on a high note after beating the Dominican Republic in straight sets (25-20, 25-17, 25-20) in their  match on Saturday.“Each match was a good experience for us,” said Akbas. “We are happy that we won the last two games after a bad start. We played with a young group, and handled it well in the end. I’m satisfied with the results.”Turkey captain Güldeniz Onal added: “We had a problems with our concentration in the third set, like yesterday, but we pushed our game and responsed at the right time. We are happy that we won in straight sets, and won two games in Stuttgart.”Cristian Cruz, coach of Dominican Republic, said: “In general I am satisfied with our performance today. Step by step, our work of the past months is paying off and we’re getting closer. Maybe we felt a little too safe in the third set with a seven-point advantage. We made more mistakes against a Turkish team that became stronger again.“
