Head-to-Head
· This is the first time these teams meet in the World Grand Prix.
· Belgium are unbeaten in their World Grand Prix meetings with NORCECA sides, beating Canada twice and Puerto Rico once. All three wins came in straight sets.
· This is also their first ever meeting at a major tournament.
Belgium
· After their opening win against Turkey (3-0), Belgium were not able to add a second victory to their tally. They lost in straight sets to Italy.
· In 2014, their debut season, they won three of their first four matches.
· Belgium have won nine and lost nine matches so far in the World Grand Prix. Of their 18 matches, 13 finished in three sets, either win or loss.
· Eight of their nine wins came in straight sets while the other was won in five sets. They have yet to win a match in four.
United States
· USA can win five WGP matches in a row for the first time since a streak of six wins in 2013.
· They can start their WGP season with three wins for the first time since 2012, when they won all 14 matches.
· Karsta Lowe scored 23 points in USA's 3-1 win against Turkey. She had 10 points in their win against Italy.
· USA's win against Turkey, was their second win on 4 July, USA's national holiday, after a win against Poland in 2008.
