China outplay Germany in three sets

 

Ningbo, China, July 4, 2015 - Ting Zhu scored 16 points to lead China to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-25) victory over Germany as the home side comfortably sealed the win. 

China started quite brightly as Ruoqi Hui powered them to take an early lead 8-4. The attacking power from the Asian side was too tough for Germany who quickly lost their way and were 16-9 down. On the other side of the net Chunle Zeng eased her team through the first set with a display of authoritative hitting closing it out 25-15.

Set two saw more resistance from team Germany as they took a slender advantage 8-7 into the first technical timeout. Germany kept composure untit the second technical timeout when China took the 16-14 lead. As Germany's Margreta Kozuch spiked into the net for a point that saw China 22-29 up, it was all set for the Asian team to finish at 25-22.

In the fird set China never looked threatened as they raced off into a 12-7 lead. Chunlei Zeng continued to produce winning spikes and aces lifting her team 17-9 up. Eventually China missed to match points but converted it on a spike from Changning Zhang to clinch the set 25-15.
