Hard training gave us confidence, says China's Hui

Saitama, Japan, July 12, 2015 - China outplayed Japan 3-1 (25-11, 21-25, 25-15, 25-17) and are still unbeaten in 2015 World Grand Prix.

Japan coach Masayoshi Manabe: They had good speed and direction on their serves. We could not receive their serves well. We knew it would be tough to defend them. We will learn from this match.

Japan captain Saori Kimura: We could not do anything well. Our offence was not good. They played faster than last year.

China coach Lang Ping: We trained hard for this round. Japan is good at blocks and defense. It was hard for us to block them, so we had to concentrate on our back defence. This round was a good experience for us with the exception of the injury of Yang Fangxu.

China captain Hui Ruoqi: It was a close match. Japan has a good variety of technique and strategy. We blocked well and our reception on serves was good. It's great that we won. We have trained hard this year and this has given us confidence.
