Strong serves paved the way to victory, says Italy captain Arrighetti

Saitama, Japan, July 12, 2015 - Italy defeated Dominican Republic in straight sets (25-13, 25-15, 25-19) showing great serving and blocking performance.

Dominican Republic coach Cristian Cruz: Italy is a very good team. They have a good mixture of young players and veterans. Our team played poorly today in both serving and receiving. The Italian team was reading our timing throughout the match.

Dominican Republic captain Carolina Rondon: Italy played a good match. There is not much else I can say. It was a fruitful game for us despite the loss.

Italy coach Marco Bonitta: We played very well. Our serves and blocks worked well today. We have now four victories which is good to help us make the finals.

Italy captain Valentina Arrighetti: We are very satisfied with the result. Our goal is to reach the Final Six. Our serves were strong and that helped making everything going smoothly. We had less stress and could play freely because of this.
