Thais have tough task to overcome Brazil

· Brazil are unbeaten in their previous nine World Grand Prix meetings with Thailand.
· In these nine matches, Thailand only succeeded to win one set: a 3-1 defeat in their first World Grand Prix meeting in 2002.
· Thailand have not won fewer sets against a specific team in the World Grand Prix. Alongside Brazil (9 matches), they have also won only one set against Turkey (2) and Netherlands (4). 

Thailand
· Thailand won their opening match this campaign against Serbia (3-2), but failed to continue their success by losing 3-0 to Japan in the second match.
· Thailand can win two matches in Bangkok in a single World Grand Prix season for the first time since 2012.
· Ajcharaporn Kongyot (19 and 13 points), Onuma Sittirak (18 and 12) and Pleumjit Thinkaow (14 and 10) have all reached double figures in the first two matches.

Brazil
· Brazil have won both of their matches this campaign by beating Japan 3-1 and Serbia 3-0.
· Combined with last season, Brazil have won six in a row in the competition. They have also won 24 of their last 25 in the competition.
· Brazil's only defeat in that span was the 3-2 against Turkey in the final round on 20 August 2014.
· Brazil have won at least one set in each of their last 44 World Grand Prix matches. The last time they failed to win a set was in the 2011 Final against United States (3-0).
