Turkey, July 4, 2015 - USA won their second game in the World Grand Prix Pool C, beating hosts Turkey 3-1 (25-20, 17-25, 25-16, 25-21).
Karch Kiraly, USA head coach: "Turkey served very well in the second set and made our job very
difficult. But I liked how we responded and came back strong in the rest of the
game. It is always hard to play against Turkey. We like to play against good
teams, especially in their hall. That was a good experience for our team."Courtney Thompson, USA captain: "We upgraded ourselves from the first game. There were some
areas where we were better today. Both teams served very well. We fought and won. We are
very happy."
Ferhat Akbas, Turkey coach: "We made a good effort against the world champions. Both teams
played well. We could have won the game. We will try to improve and play
better."Guldeniz Onal, Turkey captain: "When we served well, we caused problems for USA but we
had problems with defence and blocking. We thank everybody who was in the hall and
gave a big support to us."
