Zhang helps China defeat the Dominican Republic 3-0

Saitama, Japan, July 10, 2015 - China demolish the Dominican Republic 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-19)in Saitama with Changning Zhang impressive for the hosts who continue their 100% record in the 2015 World Grand Prix

Dominican took a 2-0 lead in the opening set, surprising the hosts before China roared back to win the next five points for a 5-2 lead. China continued to increase the lead to five points at 10-5 but Dominican pulled the deficit to one at 12-11. China once again increased the lead to five points at 18-13 before pulling away to delight the crowd to take the first set 25-15 for a 1-0 lead in the tie. 

The second set began with even exchanges between the sides as they drew level at 5-5. However once again it was China that pulled ahead as they looked to keep up their 100% record in the World Grand Prix in 2015. Changning Zhang was leading from the front for China, having an all-round game as the host continued to increase their lead to five at 13-8. China were intent on finishing the game in straight sets as they went 8 points in front at 18-10 before securing the set by a massive 13 points with a 25-12 win to take a 2-0 lead in the game. 

The Dominican Republic were being outplayed by the hosts and needed to bounce back to avoid a straight sets defeat but were soon 4-1 down as Zhang's influence on the game continued to beset the away side. Dominican were falling behind once again however Zhang and her team ensured the lead once again increased as the score hit 16-12. An injury to China's Yang seemed to cause the home side to lose focus as the Dominican Republic pulled to within three but China regained their composure to take a 25-19 win  for a 3-0 straight sets victory.
