Peru captain Uribe: "Service was the main weapon for us"

Trujillo, Peru, July 4, 2015 - Peru beat Cuba 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-20) on Saturday, taking Peru a step closer to the Final Four in Australia and rebounding from their first loss of the tournament the night before.

Peru coach Mauro Marasciulo: "Yesterday we had a bad match but we have very important players that are young and it's difficult for them to keep the game rhythm. Peruvian volleyball is in transition and everyone needs to support it.

Peru captain Mirtha Uribe: "Service was the main weapon for us today. We knew that we had to play with everything we had and thanks to Go, all things were good for us."

Cuba coach Roberto Garcia: "The match was great. Peru had much effectiveness in the serve while we made a lot of mistakes. Now we have to keep our minds cold, recover ourselves for tomorrow's match that is crucial for us and I believe it will be a good result.

Cuba captain Sulian Matienzo said that although Cuba showed a positive attitude, the main weakness they suffered was the amount of unforced errors that Peru took advantage off, along with the strength of Peru's serving.
