Porec, Croatia, July 3, 2015 - The beautiful coastal town of Porec, which is the most visited tourist destination in Croatia, will host the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix again this summer. After a successful tournament last year, Croatia are ready for a challenging Group 2 and fans can expect a high level of play at the Zatika Hall.

Croatia will play the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Argentina in Pool J FIVB World Grand Prix tournament. The race for the Group 2 Finals in Poland will start on Friday evening, and the outcome of Pool J is everything but certain.

"We have had some problems with injuries during the European Games in Baku, but I won't be looking for an alibi in that fact. The situation is now somewhat better, and I feel that my players are happy to compete in front of their own fans. I'm convinced that we will do our best in Porec. Securing the spot at the Finals stays our main objective," said Croatia's Brazilian head coach Angelo Vercesi.

The Croatian men's national team are training a few miles away, in the nearby town of Rovinj. Almost as soon as the lights are out at the women's event in Porec, the Croatian men's team will begin their CEV European League campaign.
